In my editing practice I work collaboratively with each author. Through dialogue, I seek to understand the writer's objectives and to enhance the distinctive qualities of the writing and the project. My own work ethos is centred around identifying the pulse of a piece of writing, and sharpening the specificities and singularities of its voice. I have experience of doing this in both non-academic and academic contexts. My editorial practice is necessarily informed by my own reading, listening, and writing, all focused on experimental and composite forms of critical writing that pay attention to the subtle hum of prose. I attend to the entanglements of formal aspects, rhythmic qualities, and core ideas and thoughts that characterise each text: form and cadence are considered as enmeshed with each research subject, and as aspects which necessarily emerge from the desires and drives of each project. My own bilingual language skills equip me well to work effectively not only with native English speakers, but also those writing in English as a second language.
